SVA Sports Registration Steps

To participate in SVA sports, athletes must complete both registration steps before the first official practice.

Step 1: Register & Pay

• Register through Team Snap and pay the required athletic fee.
  Middle School Team Snap
  High School Team Snap
• Registration and payment must be completed in the same session. If you are not ready to pay, log out and return when prepared.

Step 2: Submit a Sports Physical

• A current sports physical must be on file with the SVA athletic office.
• Forms are available in the Emergency & Medical Contact Information section of the online registration and on the Athletics Forms tab of the SkyView website.
• Physicals are valid for 365 days from the physician’s signature date.

Important:

• All athletic physicals must be uploaded during registration.
• Athletes who have not completed both steps by the first official practice will be ineligible for tryouts and/or practices.

Sports Physical Requirements

• A physician-signed physical exam is required (no telehealth physicals accepted).
• Physicals are valid for 365 days and must be dated June, July, or August for middle and high school athletes to participate.
• All physicals must be emailed to Jake Gregory — paper copies are not accepted.

SkyView Academy High School Academic Eligibility

SkyView Academy High School prioritizes academic excellence while recognizing the value of sports and extracurricular activities. To participate in interscholastic events, students must meet CHSAA and SVA academic requirements, enrolling in and passing at least 2.5 Carnegie units of credit per semester (though taking six classes is highly recommended).

Eligibility Policies:

• Weekly eligibility checks occur on Sundays. Students with two or more F grades are ineligible to compete from Monday through Saturday but must still attend practices unless working with a teacher.
• The Dean of Athletics, Miles Martin, will notify parents, athletes, and coaches of ineligibility via email.
• For questions regarding academic eligibility, contact the Dean of Athletics.

SkyView Academy Middle School Academic Eligibility

SkyView Academy Middle School is committed to academic excellence while supporting student participation in sports and extracurricular activities. To compete in interscholastic events, students must meet SVA academic requirements.

NCAA Division I and II Eligibility Clearinghouse Information

CA Division I or II Clearinghouse Eligibility

Students who wish to participate in Division I and II college athletics must be registered with the NCAA Initial Eligibility Clearinghouse. Students must submit the Student Release Form, a final high school transcript, and ACT or SAT scores. Student Release forms are available in the Counseling office.

Student Athlete Information

Student athletes who wish to play sports at a Division I or Division II college or university must plan carefully to ensure that they meet the high school requirements for eligibility. Students can register with the NCAA Clearinghouse at the conclusion of their junior year.
