Middle School Girls Basketball Tryouts
Happy December! Here is the try-out schedule for the MS Girls' Basketball
Try-Out Schedule:
Tuesday, December 16th, 3:30-5:30 pm
Wednesday, December 17th, 3:30-5:30 pm
(Teams will be selected after this try-out)
Practice
Thursday, December 18th, 3:30-5:30 pm
*Practice after break will be 3:30-5:00 pm Monday-Friday*
Mandatory Parent Meeting
Once teams are announced, there will be a mandatory parent meeting on Monday, January 12th, 2026, from 5:00-6:00 pm
Try-Out Eligibility Requirements
Before trying out, each student-athlete must:
- Register and pay via TeamSnap for MS Girls Basketball.
- Submit an updated CHSAA-certified sports physical to Jake Gregory. (See the required forms linked at the bottom of this page: linked at the bottom of this page)
If either of these requirements is incomplete by Tuesday, December 16th, your student-athlete will be ineligible to participate. No exceptions.
MS/HS Fall Athletics Yard Signs
Hello Middle and High School Families!
Please support SVA and your athlete by purchasing a Fall Sport yard sign from YSPN. The store closes on Tuesday, September 16th. Once the order is complete, the yard sign will be delivered to your student for them to take home.
Middle School Boys Basketball Try Outs
Our fall sports are off to a great start, and I have enjoyed seeing so many MS boys at open gym on Mondays and Wednesday mornings from 6:00 to 7:30 a.m. Those open gyms will continue for the MS boys until Wednesday, October 29th (excluding Fall Break, October 13th-17th).
Here is the information for MS Boys Basketball Try-Outs that begin Monday, October 6th:
- Monday, October 6th
- All Grades 3:30-5:30 pm Big Gym
- Tuesday, October 7th
- All Grades 2:30-4:00 pm Big Gym
- Wednesday, October 8th
- All Grades 3:30-5:30 pm Big Gym
The coaches will announce teams via email after Wednesday, October 8th. Once teams are announced, there will be a mandatory parent meeting on Monday, October 20th, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the Upper School Library.
Before trying out, you must complete the following:
- Register and pay via TeamSnap for MS Boys Basketball.
- Send an updated sports physical to Jake Gregory.
If either one of those is not complete, your student-athlete will be ineligible to participate. There will be no exceptions.

Calling All Gamers!
SkyView Esports is open to all middle and high school students, regardless of experience. Students play competitively in state and national leagues, with opportunities in popular games such as Fortnite, Overwatch 2, VALORANT*, Hearthstone, Street Fighter 6, Chess, Marvel Rivals, Pokémon Unite, Smash Bros Ultimate, Madden, Rocket League, and more. Don’t see your game? Ask if it’s offered.

Mandatory Parent Meeting | Fall Sports
SkyView Academy will host a mandatory parent meeting on August 18th at 6:30 PM in the big gym for all Middle School and High School Fall Sports. This meeting is required for families of students participating in the following sports: MS Cross Country, MS Boys Soccer, MS Girls Volleyball, HS Boys Golf, HS Poms, HS Girls Volleyball, HS Cross Country, and HS Boys Soccer.
Important information regarding schedules, expectations, and requirements will be covered, so attendance is essential for at least one parent or guardian per athlete.

- Monday, Aug. 18, 2025: 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM
- Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025: 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM
- Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025: 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM
Location: Big Gym
Who Can Tryout:
- Grades: 6th, 7th, and 8th
Requirements:
- Participants must have completed an athletic physical and be registered to participate in tryouts.
- Mandatory Meeting: If you plan to be part of any team, you must attend the Middle School Athletic Night & Parent Meeting on Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, at 6:30 PM in the Big Gym.
