SkyView Academy activities, clubs and camps will provide programs and experiences that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and leadership skills while enhancing academics and developing individual passions in students.

Sounds of the Sky Choir Fall Registration Opening Soon!
Open to Grades 3–5 | No Audition Required
SkyView Academy is excited to invite students in grades 3–5 to join the Sounds of the Sky Elementary Choir. Space is limited and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. More information and registration.
Landsharks
We offer a non-competitive youth program to introduce running to young athletes in a safe and fun environment. The focus is on self-improvement, being an encouraging teammate, and making new friends. The Spring Track Series is a fun running program and is open to students in kindergarten through 6th grade. Please remember to purchase a team race shirt if this is your first season running. Please go to the Landsharks website for team schedule information and to register.
KidStage Club
KidStage is a theatre and acting class for kids! The curriculum includes concentration, teamwork, improvisation, movement, voice, and basic theatre terminology. At the end of the class, KidStage kids will perform for their peers and parents. All classes are taught by trained instructors, whose goal is to teach your child about the excitement of theatre, improve your child's self-confidence, and provide a safe, fun, and interesting environment. KidStage will strengthen your child's confidence as well as build teamwork, leadership, reading, and vocabulary!
Class Dates: Sept 30–Dec 2 (No class on 10/14 & 11/25) - Tuesdays: 4:00–5:30 pm (Classroom TBD)
Final Production: Dec 2nd, 6:00 pm on the SkyView performance stage!

Destination Imagination (DI)
Destination Imagination is a global creative problem-solving program where students work in teams to tackle STEAM-based challenges in engineering, science, fine arts, improv, and service learning. DI builds teamwork, creativity, and leadership skills that last a lifetime.
At SkyView, teams are open to students in grades K–12 and are formed based on student interest, grade level, and the availability of volunteer Team Managers.
For the 2025–26 season, our teams are now being formed and will begin meeting soon. If you would like to be placed on the waitlist or have questions about Destination Imagination at SkyView, please contact us at SkyviewDI@gmail.com.
After School Kids Club | Creative Artists
What: 6 weeks of the Creative Artist After School
Where: Sky View Academy
When: Mondays from 4-5pm
Start Date: 9/15 - 10/27 ( No class on 10/13)
Cost: $150
What do you get? A special art project during class, games, activities as well as 2-3 art project kits to take home every week!
*Participants are entitled to two free trial Kids Club Classes per six week period, at one of our other locations!

Chess Wizards
Your brain is your super power! Are you ready to use it? Join the Chess Wizards community today for fun, friendship and some serious chess skills. All experience levels are welcome!
Join Chess Wizards this year for challenging chess lessons, exciting tournaments, fun, team activities and more! If you’re brand new to chess, we’ll teach you the basics and get you playing right away. If you're a seasoned checkmate artist, we’ll show you a new way to let your creativity show on the chess board!

LEGO Robotics After-School Program (Grades 6–8)
Get ready to explore the exciting world of robotics and coding after school! In this hands-on program, middle school students will design, build, and program their own LEGO robots using motors, sensors, and smart coding tools.
Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, you'll learn to solve real-world challenges through block-based (and introductory text-based) programming. Each session focuses on creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork as students bring their robotic creations to life.
This is a fun, engaging way to build STEM skills, prepare for robotics competitions, or just explore your passion for technology and innovation—all in a supportive, after-school environment!

STEMblazers is Now Open for Registration: 8th–12th Graders
Registration for STEMblazers is now open to students in grades 8–12. In Douglas County, this unique opportunity is only available at our campus. Join students, teachers, and professionals who work in the STEM industry for afternoon meetings centered on career exploration, preparation for college and careers, and engineering challenges. High School Clubs
Literary Magazine Club - Mrs. Worley
SkyView Academy's Literary Magazine is a platform for young writers and artists to showcase their creativity and talent. We provide a space for students to express themselves through various forms of literature, art, and critical thinking. Our magazine is a celebration of creativity and intellectual exploration, offering a diverse collection of thought-provoking works from our talented contributors.
We have meetings once a week. We edit submissions given to us and provide extra credit.
Book Club - Doctor St. Marie
The SkyView Book Club is the official book club of SkyView, where students collectively choose a book to read and have weekly discussions on!
Perception Club - Mrs. Reid
SkyView Academy Perception Club raises money and brings awareness to neurological conditions. “Perception Clubs are essential platforms for individuals to engage with the neurodevelopmental community, actively participating in fundraising, advocacy, and youth leadership. Reading Buddies - Mrs. Drazek, Service hours opportunities
The Reading Buddies Club is made up of high school students who visit the 3-year-old preschool class once a week during Advisement to read books with the kids. The goal of the club is to build connections between high school students and preschoolers while sharing a love of reading.
Peer Tutoring - Mrs. Veksler, Service hours opportunities,
The Peer Tutoring Club is a supportive space where high school students help middle school students and their peers. Members work together to provide tutoring, share study strategies, and build confidence in a variety of subjects. Whether you are looking to strengthen your own understanding, help others, or prepare for upcoming exams, this club is designed to foster collaboration, leadership, and academic growth.
*FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) - Student Leader: Clay Cosart
Our goal is to support and encourage athletes at SkyView while growing in our faith together as a community. Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) has been inspiring coaches and athletes at all levels—professional, collegiate, high school, junior high, and youth—to use the powerful platform of sports to share hope and make an impact. FCA’s mission is to engage, equip, and empower coaches and athletes to live boldly, lead faithfully, and make a difference in their communities and around the world through the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
Green Club - Mr. Euscher
Green Club is a way for SkyView students to get involved in the natural world around them. We plan to benefit our community and local environment through volunteering, fundraising, and gaining an in-depth understanding of the environment through research, such as studying the plants in the new SkyView Academy native pollinator plant garden that we built just last year. Green Club is held every Monday during Advisement, and we would love for you to join us!
Fashion Club - Ms. Hartrich
SVA Fashion Club aims to bring together like-minded students through the world of fashion. We are registered with ASU to connect students to opportunities through college. Fashion Club meets once a month to complete activities, hear from professionals, and participate in industry events.
Hiking Club - Señora Lui
A fun way to get outside, learn about nature, and wildlife safety! Have the opportunity to go on fun hikes and make new friends.
Swifties Club - Ms. Stewart
Swifties Club is a place for Taylor Swift lovers at SVA. We will express our love by analyzing her best work (all of it), looking at her eras, albums, best performances, etc.
Medical Club - Mr. Miller
The Medical Club is dedicated to inspiring students to explore careers in medicine and healthcare while offering hands-on opportunities to gain real-world exposure. Many students are curious about the medical field but aren’t sure where to begin — this club provides that starting point. Through learning experiences and connections with professionals, the Medical Club helps prepare students for future healthcare pathways. It also adds unique value to SkyView by combining career exploration, service, and fun.

Turning Point USA (TPUSA), founded by Charlie Kirk in 2012, is a conservative organization that promotes free markets, limited government, and individual liberty, especially among students.
Fiber Arts Club - Señor Negrón
Open to all 9-12 grade students!
The purpose of the club is to bring together people who like to create through fiber arts (knitting, weaving, crocheting, embroidery, felting, etc.). We will learn and practice fiber art techniques and work on independent projects. We also hope to donate some of our items.

Summer Programs
*Student-led clubs associated with political, religious, or ideological organizations are permitted to meet on SkyView Academy premises only before or after the regular school day. These clubs are not sponsored, endorsed, or financially supported by SkyView Academy, its administration, or its governing board. The views and activities of such clubs represent the independent expressions of the students and/or organizations involved and do not reflect the official policies, positions, or opinions of SkyView Academy.
External clubs that are owned and operated by third party organizations are fully responsible for the health and medical needs of students after school. Parents must be aware that SkyView health clinic staff are not present after school hours and, therefore, cannot provide delegated assistance with medications or medical emergencies that may occur during club meetings. Parents are responsible for reviewing the various medical safety policies of each third party organization operating clubs at SkyView Academy to make the best decision for the safety of their child.
